EIP Practice Abstract Format:
Short summary for practitioners in English on the (final or expected) outcomes (1000-1500 characters, word count – no spaces). This summary should be as interesting as possible for farmers/end-users, using a direct and easy understandable language and pointing out entrepreneurial elements which are particularly relevant for practitioners. Research oriented aspects which do not help the understanding of the practice itself should be avoided. |
Short description of the ‘Good Practice’: |
The concept behind The Eco-Cabinet (Økoskabet) includes both an online platform, a logistics solution and a physical collection cabinet, where customers can pick up the organic food that they have ordered and prepaid online. It provides several obvious benefits to both the customer and the manufacturer. The customer can pick up the prepaid vegetables in The Eco-Cabinet (Økoskabet) at a time convenient for themselves and the producers only need to harvest the goods they have already sold. In this way, the farmer avoids the vegetables getting too old in the roadside stall or farm shop and food waste and a profit loss is avoided.

Pearls, Puzzles, Proposals? | New, simple, safe and time-saving sales channel reducing food waste. |
